The Global Water Initiative (GWI) was an action-research and advocacy programme that ran from 2008-17. The project is now closed. This site is no longer being updated, but allows access to GWI outputs until 1 October 2020 when it will also close. After that date, information about the project and core GWI technical publications will continue to be available from the IIED website and Publications Library.

This report summarises the outcomes of a national workshop on agricultural advice services organised by GWI West Africa and its partners in Bamako, Mali, on 11 June 2015.

The workshop sought to foster the interest of government authorities and technical and financial partners in the participatory planning process undertaken in the Sélingué basin to improve agricultural advice services, and engage them in the implementation process.

This report sums up the objectives and progress of the workshops, analyses their outcomes and lays out the action points agreed upon by participants.

Please note that this document is only available in French.

Similar workshops were held in Dakar and Ouagadouou, on 1 and 4 June 2015 respectively. A synthesis report summarising outcomes of the three national workshops is available here.
